As a founding AGMCC board member, Dave’s commitment to quality comes through as a dynamic speaker, presenter, and advocate for certifications.

He emphasizes how design and construction standards support better architectural outcomes. Dave founded Conspectus, Inc. in 2008, after leading its predecessor since 1992. He has grown the company into the nation’s largest independent specifications consulting practice, recognized for mitigating risk and adding value through the preparation of system and performance descriptions, construction specifications, and quality assurance reviews. The company recently developed proprietary cloud-based spec-writing software. Dave specializes in owner standards, preliminary project development, and risk management strategies.

Dave serves as Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Philadelphia Chapter board member and treasurer and was president from 2011-2013. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Specifications Consultants in Independent Practice (SCIP), for which he also is past president. Married with four grown children and six grandchildren, Dave lives close to the Jersey Shore and enjoys boating while pretending to be fishing.
