AGMT Steps to Certification

Ready to become certified? You’re in the right place.

The AGMT application and certification process has five easy steps:

STEP 1.

Create an account on the AGMT Certification Information Portal (CIP).

STEP 2.

Meet prerequisites:

Proof of OSHA-10 certification (or Canadian equivalent)
Proof of work experience: 7,500 hours over five years
Signed candidate agreement
Candidate photo

STEP 3.

STEP 4.

Pass the written Knowledge-Based Test (KBT)

STEP 5.

Pass all sections of the physical Performance-Based Test (PBT):

Curtain Wall Test
Storefront Test
Sealant Test
Layout Test
Harness Test

Certification is valid for four years from date of certification.

To maintain the credential, individuals must recertify every four years, including written testing, evidence of required work hours, and completion of a set amount of continuing education.
