Yvon Chiasson, ing., P.Eng.

Yvon contributes his building science expertise as a member of the AGMCC board and a member of the NACC committee.

A Senior Building Science Consultant and Façade Specialist for Morrison Hershfield Limited, now Stantec, Yvon has 40 years of experience, including technical sales, R&D support for building envelope systems manufacturers, and 25+ years of consulting science experience in new building design, envelope restoration, and performance failure investigation. He has managed private and public sector commercial, high-rise, and institutional projects and specializes in cladding technologies and unitized glazing systems. Yvon supported development of fenestration design and installation standards in Canada and has written and presented extensively on quality issues.

Yvon is a member of the Professional Engineers Association (Ontario), Fenestration & Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA), and Façade Tectonics. He sits on the Insulating Glass Certification Council (IGCC) Board of Governors and is a Certification Appeals Committee member. Married with one adult daughter, Yvon enjoys spending time outdoors and with his family and two dogs.
