Project Executive for Enclosures | Turner Construction Company

Recognizing the critical need for formal education and training in the industry, Tina joined the AGMCC board to help more general contractors recognize the value of certification.

Tina has 30+ years of construction industry experience, ranging from preconstruction and estimating to field management of multi-million-dollar construction projects nationwide. As Project Executive for Enclosures, she spearheads Turner’s building envelope risk management program that establishes protocols to build projects with zero defects. She also dedicates much of her time to mentoring, both within the company to train and empower the next generation of engineers and construction managers and also through Turner’s program to mentor and support smaller general contractors as partners on large assignments.

Tina maintains involvement instituting new processes with the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA). She also volunteers with Miracle House, supporting underprivileged children in Kenya and Guatemala who have lost parents to disease. Married with an adult son, Tina enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, biking, camping, and chasing her two springer spaniels.

“Over my career, I’ve seen the construction industry evolve to today’s delegated design process in which the engineering and performance of building envelopes falls within the subcontractor’s purview. Because of that shift, glazing subcontractors especially must broaden their knowledge, technical expertise, and installation abilities to ensure quality. The NACC and AGMT programs work together to support glazing subcontractors’ success, help ensure better performing building envelopes and minimize risk for general contractors and owners.”
