Jon Kimberlain

Jon’s advocacy for performance standards has driven the AGMT and NACC programs – and those who earn certification – to continuously improve quality.

Jon has over 25 years of experience in silicone chemistry, structural glazing, and applications of silicone sealants in high performance buildings. Dividing time between laboratory research and customer engagement, Jon helps people design and use Dow products in conventional and innovative ways. He credits his father’s house-building hobby with inspiring an interest in the built environment. Always fascinated with how materials work and things go together, Jon joined Dow-Corning on the supply side, making and troubleshooting sealants with a focus on quality. This background informs his perspective as a founding member and current Secretary/Treasurer of the AGMCC board.

Jon sits on the board of Facade Tectonics and on ASTM International Committee C24 on Building Seals and Sealants. He previously served as Glass Association of North America (GANA) chairperson of the building enclosure contractors division and on its board of directors. Jon also serves on the board of Greenspace, a system of trails around Hardin County, Kentucky. Married with two high school-aged kids, Jon likes to be outdoors with his family as much as possible. He enjoys kayaking, fishing, hiking, and hunting.
