John Merkert

Quality Control Executive and Façade Specialist | Clark Construction

John joined the AGMCC board to provide insights into how general contractors qualify and hire glazing contractors and to improve project delivery, particularly within new and smaller markets.

John has nearly 20 years of construction and building enclosure engineering experience. As Quality Control Executive and Façade Specialist with Clark Construction, one of the nation’s largest building and infrastructure companies, John supports high quality building enclosure design and construction execution. Based in Colorado, he oversees construction projects in California, Washington, Nevada, Texas, and Tennessee. John also serves as Principal with Carta Advisors, a consulting group within Clark Construction, advising non-Clark project owners about enclosure issues.

John volunteers with the Watershed Center, a nonprofit environmental organization that provides stewardship of local forests and rivers and mitigates hazards that lead to wildfires. An outdoor enthusiast, he spends his free time skiing, snowmobiling, dirt biking, camping, fishing, and hiking.
