Jacob T. Chacko

A chemical engineer by training, Jacob began his career in process engineering and manufacturing before spending over three decades with Owens Corning as a product technical leader and product management executive focused on product introductions, improvements, and business transformation.

A brief stint at retirement didn’t take, and he went on to serve three years as quality assurance manager for a glass tempering company, maintaining quality management systems and documentation to support Safety Glazing Certification Council (SGCC) certification. SGCC provided Jacob with exposure to AMS, Inc. and the company’s other certifications. When he retired for the second time, an opportunity to become an NACC assessor provided a means to share his background in engineering and business along with his focus on quality management.

Jacob serves as a volunteer member leader for the American Society of Quality (ASQ) Columbus, Ohio, chapter, supporting communications and the organization’s website. He also performs similar volunteer communication help for a local food pantry. Jacob is married with two daughters and two grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and pickleball and traveling, especially to visit his grandchildren.
