Frank E. Jones, Jr., AGMT

Director of Training | IUPAT District Council 77

Frankie was the first individual in Georgia to earn AGMT and has served on the AGMT Committee since 2019.

After a 25-year career as a glazier, foreman, and supervisor, Frankie joined the staff of District Council 77 in Atlanta, Georgia. He served as an apprentice coordinator and instructor before becoming Director of Training in 2021. He oversees training, health, and safety for the country’s largest district, including 15 local unions and three manufacturing facilities. Frankie acknowledges strong mentors shaped him into a competent tradesperson and he pays this forward every day, teaching others the right way to do their jobs so that everyone goes home to their families. He believes having and being a good mentor is key to a lasting career.

Frankie is a member of the Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP). He’s married with an adult daughter and two grandsons. A self-proclaimed hot-rod guy, Frankie enjoys working on muscle cars, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family. In the fall, you’ll find him watching Georgia Bulldogs football while the BBQ smokes.
