Kennett to Present to Washington Glass Association
North American Contractor Certification (NACC) and Architectural Glass & Metal Certification (AGMT) Program Manager Scott Kennett will present, “Why Certification is Coming to the Glazing Industry and What You Need to Know,” to the Washington Glass Association.
The dinner presentation takes place Thursday, 11 June 2026 at Foster Golf Links/Pasifika NW in Tukwila, Washington.
Kennett will share an overview of the growing movement toward installer certifications for glazing contractors and technicians. He’ll provide overviews of both the NACC and Architectural Glass & Metal Technician (AGMT) certification programs along with key information:
- How contractors and glaziers benefit from certification
- How certification protects stakeholders
- Why certifications are accelerating in project specifications
- How contractors can set conditions for future success
The session will also cover proposed legislation that would mandate NACC and AGMT certifications. Following passage of a similar bill in Oregon, Washington State House Bill 2390 was introduced in January. Presently in committee, it proposes new certification requirements for publicly funded new and renovation fenestration projects.

The Washington Glass Association was established in 1983 to foster industry education, provide networking opportunities, and promote the glass and glazing industry.
