As NACC begins to conduct the 2025 assessment cycle, the NACC Certification Committee has created a new competency category: AGMT Certified Staff.
The NACC Competency Categories are designed to help project stakeholders identify contractors that have a proven track record in the type of work they are looking to complete. The NACC Certification Committee responded to stakeholder feedback around a need to simplify the process of confirming whether a certified contractor employs AGMT certified technicians. The new category will recognize certified contractors that employ AGMT certified technicians while also helping project stakeholders easily understand if a contractor fully complies with the project specifications when evaluating bids. Like the other existing categories, the new AGMT category is voluntary. It has always been the goal to unite both certification programs. A certified contractor with a certified workforce will ensure the best possible project outcome, and this is a significant step forward in achieving that goal for the industry.
To add the AGMT Certified Staff Competency Category, a contractor must provide evidence of employment of at least one certified technician during the contractor’s 2025 NACC assessment. Examples of acceptable evidence include payroll records, organizational charts, HR records, etc. The NACC Assessor will then validate the certified employee’s name against the active AGMT Directory. Once confirmed, the AGMT Certified Staff Competency Category will be added to the NACC certificate.
